It never ceases to amaze me how good God is!
Though my early life was tough, I have reaped so many blessings because of those trials that I wouldn’t change one thing I’ve ever been through.
Living with alcoholism, physical abuse, sexual abuse and abandonment is tough when you are a child. For me, that led to homelessness, drug addiction and termination of my moms parental rights. Life as a ward of the state wasn’t much better. Being shuffled from facilities, institutions and foster care until I was old enough to take care of myself.
Because of the things I’d been through, I was hardened and bitter. I didn’t believe in God. I’m so grateful that April 15, 1995 a man came to my door and shared the gospel with me. After a two hour discussion, I prayed and asked Jesus Christ into my heart and life. I committed that day to turn from my sins and live for Him. That very faith is what drove me to desire baptism, to get into his word, share what He’s done for me and persuade others to come to know Christ.
Because of my own salvation experience, I am passionate about evangelism. My prayer is that God would continue to work through me to reach those who need His touch.
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Mike, since 1990. We are raising three teenagers, Chris, Taylor and Jake. The extended family I have because of Mike, is amazing and supportive and after many years I’ve been reconciled with my own family. I couldn’t ask for more.
I’m thankful the Lord opened my eyes to His presence and His blessings. I love serving Him each and every day.
